What if we stop?
What you keep here does not come back once it is gone. So we say plainly what happens to your memories, even in the worst case.
Everything stays yours, and you can always take it with you
With one click you download your whole palace: every photo, voice, video and story in its own format, plus all your data in one file.
That download includes a page that opens without internet and without an account. You can browse your wings and rooms and listen to the voices. That page does not need us: it keeps working, even if The Memory Palace is ever gone.
Real voices, never imitated
What you hear in your palace is what someone really recorded. We never imitate a voice, and we never make anyone say things they did not say themselves.
Speech can be turned into text so you can search and read along. The recording itself stays exactly as it is.
Where your memories are kept
Your account and the data of your memories are stored in a database in Frankfurt, Germany. Your photos, videos and recordings are stored with Cloudflare R2 in Western Europe. Both are encrypted at rest.
You do not need us to reach your memories
Because you can download everything at any time, and that download works without us, you never depend on us to keep your own memories. Feel free to download a copy now and then, and keep it somewhere you trust.
Who makes this
The Memory Palace is made by a small team in Leuven, Belgium.
You also find it under Settings, Security and privacy.
Who can see your memories? A plain answer, including what is not end-to-end encrypted.
